I can move my leeboards fore and aft, depending on my sail configuration. It is best of the leeboards are right at the Center of Effort for the sails. This clampy-type thing fits over the gunwale and provides the pivot point for the leeboard. It is held in place by a couple of hefty lag bolts that are not pictured here.
